How Riding a Motorcycle Opened my Eyes

Happy Friday everyone!! So I have to tell you, I have been having an AMAZING few days. The weather has so cool and sunny, we have been slowing down (typical for this time of year), I got to go hiking twice this week, AND I am back into reading. To be honest, this week has me feeling like a 28 year old retired person. Last night I went on a date with Matt that started with a spontaneous motorcycle ride. Now just to preface this- I usually don't go on the bike. My helmet is awful and it starts to...

Why Walking is a Game changer (in a good way!)

Why Walking is a Game changer (in a good way!)

I have heard all the warnings and horror stories. “Enjoy it while you can!” they said when my coffee was safe a few feet away from my daughter. “Get ready!” they wrote when I shared news of her crawling into my studio. Allow me to RE-introduce myself

I was scrolling through my personal Facebook page laughing out loud at some of the ridiculous pictures of our family. I smiled as I looked at some of the crazy projects we tried or the paintings that look so different from what I...

It's the Little things

Today I have a four month old. It’s weird. On one hand I cannot really remember life without Camryn, but at the same time four months sounds so old! She is already showing me what people say when they talk about children growing before their eyes. In just four months she has gone from a six and a half pound infant who couldn’t even hold her head up to a little girl who smiles and laughs and holds onto you when you rock her. It is unbelievable. I have always been a confident person. This has allowed me to take...

Being Mom

Being Mom

With mother’s day right around the corner I have been thinking a lot about what being a mom means to me. This is what I have learned in the last three months: Being mom means I reheat my coffee three times a day or deal with it cold. Or forget it in the microwave. Or in another room. Being mom means that if I wake up before Camryn I check to see if she is breathing.             Being mom means I take 14 pictures of a single moment then agonize on how I can possibly...
