Our Favorite Holiday Traditions

Good morning! So the last couple days I have been so overwhelmed with work wondering how the heck I could possibly write this blog. Of course I thought about describing the holiday season or maybe Thanksgiving, but after reading the newest edition of Magnolia Journal I decided on something different J When Matt and I moved here in 2014 we didn’t plan on staying. The idea was to move south, get jobs, save money, then move back in a couple years. Within about six months we knew that wasn’t happening. Even before we came to the mountains we knew North...

Running Out, Stocking up, and Upcoming Sales

If I wasn’t sure last week, I am today. We are 100% in the midst of the holiday rush! We hit 207 orders for this month last night and we are fully (I hope!) prepared to work every day from now until December. Luckily, this is technically our fourth Christmas and we have learned a lot. We tend to forget about how beautiful our own state is but we had a fantastic reminder yesterday. Black Balsam Knob hike entails a series of short trails that connect for a 5 mile loop. Looking back on the directions we managed to do this without doing exactly what the site says but if you are interested in doing the hike yourself you can...

Greece 2016

Greece 2016

Greece. When you hear the name it’s almost automatic to think of Santorini- the blue roofs and the white buildings covering a mountainside only dwarfed by the expansive ocean below.  It is a scene we all know, even if just from a postcard or computer background. So when Matt and I went to Greece as part of a Mediterranean cruise last year it was number one on my list to see. We went to Santorini and to Katakolon, both of which were beautiful, rushed (due to the cruise timeline), and slightly disappointing. We didn’t have time for a lot so...
